Information You Submit
Terms Entered in Search
A name, place, or other term entered in a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates the tool. Covington County Busted Mugshots does not keep or log those search terms on its own systems.
Messages Sent to Us
An email or contact-form message may be retained long enough to review and answer it. We do not share those messages outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Technical Data Collected
As with most websites, each visit can produce routine server or analytics data, including:
- The visitor's Internet Protocol address.
- The browser name and version.
- The device class and operating system.
- Pages opened and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when one is supplied.
- The date and time of the request.
Browser Cookies
Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. A browser can reject or delete them, although blocking cookies may cause some functions to behave differently.
How Data Supports the Site
Collected data is used only for ordinary operation and service improvement. Those uses include:
- Keeping pages available and responsive.
- Sending search requests to the selected partner.
- Learning which resources visitors find useful.
- Finding errors, abuse, and technical faults.
- Displaying advertising that may reflect visitor interests.
Privacy Beyond These Pages
Links may lead to sheriff and jail pages, court or corrections portals, booking sources, government databases, and third-party search tools. Once a visitor leaves, the destination's privacy policy controls its collection and use of data.
Advertising partners may use their own systems to recognize activity across different websites and select interest-based ads. That tracking occurs under the partner's practices, not on systems controlled by this site.
Parties That May Receive Data
We do not sell personal information. Limited data may be processed by:
- Search partners that handle a submitted query.
- Analytics providers that measure site use.
- Advertising networks that deliver ads.
- Law enforcement or another government body acting under a valid legal order.
Security Has Practical Limits
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect information. No website, network, or storage method is fully secure, so we cannot promise that a breach or unauthorized access will never occur.
Use by Minors
This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted information may use the Get in Touch page to request deletion.

- Provide a copy of personal data we hold.
- Correct personal data that is inaccurate.
- Delete information when erasure applies.
- Honor an available opt-out from certain processing.
